During winter time, there's no better home-baked treat to share with friends and family, than a pie! Even if this year's Holidays are going to be slightly different, we wanted to get you inspired with three of our favorite pie recipes, with a healthy twist ;)

    1. Collagen Apple Pie

Let's kick off this pie season with her majesty - the Apple Pie. As soon as the holiday euphoria kicks in, so do the apple pie cravings, and there's no other dessert we'd rather suggest as our number one. And now that we've found a perfect way to blend our gut-healing Collagen Peptides into the mixture, we love it even more!

    Ingredients

4 cups apples (pick your favorite kind, and slice them however you prefer)
    1 cup sugar
    1 cup butter
    1/2 honey
1 cup mandarin oranges (once again, slice them however you prefer)
    2 tbsp vanilla extract
    1 tbsp pumpkin spice
1 tsp of cinnamon & 1 teaspoon of ground nutmeg (optional)
    1 pie crust
    1 scoop Non-GMO Collagen Peptides

    Directions

    1. Preheat your oven to 350F degrees. In the meantime, prepare your apples and mandarin oranges.

    2. Grab a mixing bowl, add your sliced apples and mix them with the sugar. Next, you want to add the mandarin oranges and mix all the ingredients. Once you've created an evenly mixed combination, add all the remaining ingredients and keep on mixing everything together to get a perfect blend.

Before placing the pre-made pie crust on top, make sure to sprinkle a bit of flour on top of the mixture. Pinch the crust around the mixture to make sure it lays perfectly. Bake your pie for 45 minutes.

This amount of apple pie should yield 8 servings. Bon Appétit!

    2. Quick Pumpkin Spice Collagen Pie

Now, if you're not a fan of cooking, even when it comes to delicious pies, but you'd still like to contribute to this year's holiday feast, here's the easiest way to prepare a delicious pumpkin spice pie which requires no baking. What makes this pie even more appealing is the fact that it is paleo-friendly, but also collagen-enriched! Here's what we need for this protein-packed pumpkin spice pie:

    Ingredients

    Crust
    2 tbsp instant coffee grounds
    2 tbsp cocoa powder
    1 tsp vanilla extract
    1 cup pitted dates
    1 1/2 cup pecans

    Filling

    1 cup boiling water
    1 packet gelatin (unflavored)
    1/2 tsp cinnamon
    1/4 tsp nutmeg
    1/3 cup coconut sugar
    1 tbsp pumpkin spice
1 scoop Fat-Free Marine Collagen Peptides Powder

Note: Make sure to adjust the amounts of spices to your liking.

    Directions

    1. Add all the ingredients for the crust into a mixing bowl or a food processor and mix well until you get a cohesive mixture. Prepare a cooking pan by spraying it with cooking spray. Add your crust mixture into the pie pan and press well to form an even crust.

    2. Take another mixing bowl, add gelatin and pour the boiling water over it. Add sugar and stir the ingredients until the sugar has dissolved. Next, add the remaining ingredients including collagen powder and spices. Cool this mixture for about 10 minutes before you pour it over the crust you've prepared previously.

As we've mentioned, this pie requires no baking, so all you need to do is freese it for 1-2 hours and it is ready to be served!

    3. Chocolate Collagen Pecan Pie

Yes, holidays are the time to relax and indulge in all those guilty pleasures we usually try to avoid, including dessert. However, it's always refreshing to discover healthy, yet yummy dessert ideas so that we can please our sweet tooth without the guilt. This chocolate pecan pie is not only low-carb, dairy-free, keto, and paleo-friendly, but it is also collagen-infused, as we've added a special ingredient - Beef Gelatin. Don't worry, we have no intention of mixing beef into our pie (fellow Friendsfans, this is NOT Rachel's Thanksgiving trifle), as our protein-packed Beef Gelatin is 100% unflavored.

    Ingredients

    Crust
    2 tbsp coconut oil
    1 egg
    1/4 tsp salt
    2 cups ground blanched almonds

    Chocolate Filling

    3 eggs
3 oz melted dairy-free dark chocolate
    1 cup shredded zucchini
    1/2 vanilla extract
    3/4 stevia (alcohol-free)
    150 g raw pecan halves
    3 scoops Unflavored Beef Gelatin

    Directions

    1. Preheat your oven to 350F degrees. Grease your pie pan with a bit of coconut oil.

    2. For your crust, mix all the ingredients, either manually or using a food processor. Make sure to mix them well to get an even dough. Place it into the pie pan, pressing well and creating the shape of the crust by pushing the sides up.

    3. Dry out the shredded zucchini, and mix it well with all the remaining filling ingredients, except the pecans, using your food processor or a blender. Blend the mixture until you get a smooth filling. Add and stir in about 75% of the pecans.

    4. Pour the chocolate filling over the crust you're prepared earlier, then top the pie with remaining pecans.

    5. Bake the pie in your preheated oven for about 35-40 minutes. It'd be the best if you could let it cool overnight (but we'd totally understand if you'd dive in the same day).

Enjoy your guilt-free holiday pies, and don't forget to pick up a container of premium collagen while you're at it. Put an extra protein kick into your recipes:) Happy pie making!
