Add one scoop to your daily coffee, smoothie, or other drinks. Marine collagen won’t gel in cold liquids like gelatin will. Solubility is best when the liquid is added to the powder due to its low molecular weight. It is best taken with a source of vitamin C for maximum absorption and glowing skin.

Marine collagen contains collagen type I and III. Collagen type I is the most abundant type and is similar to type III in that it is found in skin, tendons, bones, eyes, and teeth. However, once the collagen is hydrolyzed, the separate collagen types are not easily distinguishable.
The main difference between these two products is the collagen source. While our marine collagen is sourced from the skins of wild-caught fish, collagen peptides come from the hides of grass-fed cows. Also, marine collagen has a slightly lower molecular weight (3000 daltons vs. 5000 daltons) and is considered to be more highly bioavailable, but it's also more expensive. They contain the same amino acids, but the profiles are slightly different, with the marine collagen containing a higher concentration of glycine.
Our marine collagen is made from wild-caught whitefish (cod, pollock, haddock, and hake), which are sustainably fished in the pristine deep waters of the North Atlantic Ocean. The raw materials are sourced from Iceland, and then the collagen is produced in Canada in a facility that only manufactures fish collagen/gelatin, so there is no possibility of cross-contamination with bovine and porcine products. It is hydrolyzed using natural fruit enzymes without the use of high heat to keep the peptides intact. It contains no antibiotics, fillers, sweeteners, or flavors. Amandean marine collagen is bottled in the US at an FDA-registered cGMP facility, where every batch is rigorously tested for purity and safety.
Marine collagen can be added to all your hot and cold beverages, meals, snacks, and desserts. For best results, add marine collagen powder to your cup first and then add the liquid and stir. Do not use ice.
Yes. Every batch gets tested at the bulk ingredient level, and then again as a pass/fail test at the time of packaging. Our marine collagen falls well below the acceptable limits for heavy metals. It is 100% natural and free from pesticides, contaminants, chemicals and additives.

I've only started recently using this product in the last few months so I haven't come to any conclusions yet. Regrettably I found them on Amazon and ordered through there the first time. I wish I would have directly from the company. I like to support small businesses. I just started another container. I have been using this for over a month now. The powder doesn't have a flavor, which is nice, and mixes well. Its hard to tell yet, but my skin might be starting to improve some. I will continue using as I am also taking for bone health.

After months of web research/reviews of all TYPES of collagen peptide powders along with and money spent. Taste is good but doesn’t mix fully into my hot coffee; always a few clumps. I do like the larger scoop with a full 10 grams of collagen. Undecided if I’ll buy again.
Thanks for the review, Janet. Just wanted to be sure you are adding the powder to the dry cup first, before pouring your hot coffee over the top? This will definitely help with dissolving those clumps. Marine collagen hydrolyzes to a very fine and lightweight powder, which actually allows for better absorption. It can take a bit of extra effort to dissolve, but once you find the groove, it's totally worth it (at least that's what most of our customers say!).
As I grow older my nails split very easily. This collagen doesn't completely alleviate the problem but it helps a lot -- I tried stopping for a few months and the splitting grew more frequent so I'm back on it.
I like this brand because of its commitment to checking for toxins.

I've been using Amandean for years then decided to switch to a cheaper product about a year ago. Didn't really feel the difference until I moved to the city and suddenly I was walking a lot more than I used to, that's when my joints , hip, and lower back began to ache. I was sure it was just a phase, but it only got worse over time. At a stroke of inspiration I decided to switch back to Amandean, and within days the aches and stiffness lifted, I enjoyed walking long distances once again, and with it, the agility I once enjoyed. At my age of 61, it was important for me to maintain an active lifestyle, and this product helped me sustain it.
