There are 18 amino acids in Amandean Collagen, including glycine and proline. Glycine may help supports digestive health and contributes to overall wellness. Proline may help support the appearance of skin and contribute to connective tissue health. Collagen may help support the appearance of healthy bones, joints, connective tissues, and digestive health, sleep quality, appetite control, lean muscle mass & flexibility, energy & recovery, smooth, hydrated skin, shiny, thick hair, and stronger nails.*
Serving Size: 10g (1-scoop), Amount Per Serving: Calories: 40, Protein: 10g, Sodium: 65mg. Hydrolyzed Collagen: 10g. Sodium does not come from added salt but is a component of collagen peptides. Each scoop contains 10g of grass-fed bovine hydrolyzed collagen peptides. Store away from heat and moisture. Some people may be allergic to bovine collagen. Check with your doctor before using this product, especially if you are pregnant, nursing, have existing medical conditions or are taking prescriptions.
Add a scoop (10g) to your daily coffee, tea, juice, yogurt, smoothie, or even glass of water. Hydrolyzed collagen won’t gel in cold liquids like gelatin will. It is best taken with a source of vitamin C to stimulate collagen production in the body and provide maximum absorption.

While you can mix your collagen powder both with cold and hot beverages, it does require a bit more mixing in cold drinks. It is best to add the powder to the cup after the liquid is poured, which will help with dissolving. Also, avoid adding ice as it will cause clumping.
Outer effects like skin, hair, and nails will typically take 4-6 weeks of consistent use before seeing initial results. Inner effects, like increased energy, faster recovery times, better sleep, and satiated hunger can be more immediate. It’s important to remember though that each person’s response can be affected by overall wellness, as well as other factors.
Grass-fed collagen peptides contain collagen type I and III. Type I collagen is the most plentiful collagen in the body and accounts for 80-90% of the entire collagen amount. Type III collagen is very similar to type I as they share many overlapping benefits such as promoting skin, bone, tendon, organ, and gut health. However, once the collagen is hydrolyzed, the separate collagen types are not distinguishable.
The main difference between these two products is the collagen source. While our marine collagen is sourced from the skins of wild-caught fish, collagen peptides come from the hides of pasture-raised cows. Also, marine collagen has a slightly lower molecular weight (3000 daltons vs. 5000 daltons) and is considered to be more highly bioavailable, but it's also more expensive. They contain the same amino acids, but the profiles are slightly different, with the marine collagen containing a higher concentration of glycine.
The collagen is sourced from the hides of grass-fed, pasture-raised cows. The peptides are extracted through a process called hydrolyzation, in which water is used to break the molecular bonds of the protein, exposing the amino acids or peptides. This process allows the collagen to be more easily absorbed and utilized in the body. They are 100% soy-free, non-GMO, gluten-free and fat-free. Our high-quality collagen powder is completely safe and cGMP certified.

Amandean doesn't have an official halal certification for our collagen peptides but the (only) ingredient used in our collagen peptides is certified halal. It’s made from the hides of grass-fed, pasture-raised cows, and manufactured in a cGMP certified facility. Because we don’t pay for the halal certification at the time of packaging, we are precluded from claiming it as “certified”. We have chosen to forgo the expensive certification and pass the savings on to our customers instead.

The premium collagen peptides is a great product. It mixes very well into cold and hot liquids and does not leave any kind of taste or flavor to the beverage that you’re mixing it into. I always notice with consistent use that I have better hair growth and stronger nails.
